DESIGN

Leveling 16+ | Solo Farm | Solo Exp Grind | AOE DPS

This build is designed for leveling as you AoE grind while using a Voidwalker to group and tank mobs. Unlike other level grind builds, this one isn't gear dependant since it is your Voidwalker that will be taking the damage of enemies.

INTRODUCTION

Using the Voidwalker to tank and group mobs, you would then spam Flamestrike which hits every target in the area and leaves a damaging over time effect on the ground for additional damage. To increase the threat of your Voidwalker, make sure you have Thorns and Retribution Aura on him and wait a couple seconds before damaging the enemies. If you do happen to pull aggro, you can use Suffering or Sacrifice.

RANDOM ENCHANTS

Since this is a leveling build, random enchants are not important, however they would still help you preform better if you do manage to acquire some.

[Quantity: 1] Lunar Guidance - 4% Intellect to Spell Power
[Quantity: 1] Harbinger of Flame - Chance to deal AoE Fire Damage to nearby enemies

*Total stats from REs: 12% Crit, 9% Damage, 20% INT to SP, AoE Fire Proc

LETS TALK ABOUT STATS

For leveling your primary stat is simply Intellect and secondary being Stamina for your Voidwalker, you can allocate all stats into Intellect which will provide Spell Crit, Higher mana Pool, and Spell Power at higher levels, keep in mind that you may need to allocate a bit into Stamina if you find your Voidwalker struggling to tank.

Priority Stats: Intellect > Critical Rating > Spell Power > Stamina.

GEARING UP

You can practically level up gear-less since your Voidwalker is the one tanking. But having better gear does speed up your leveling process and increases the survivability of your Voidwalker, making it easier to tank multiple mobs. The type of gear you want are equipment that provides beneficial stats, listed under the section "Lets Talk about Stats".

WEAPON

Early levels, it doesnt matter what weapon you use. I would reccomend using weapons that provide beneficial stats such as Intellect, Stamina, Crit Rating, or Spell Power.

At level 28 you will be using Fire Stones for Spell Damage and Critical Rating, at this level you should Dual Wield weapons to double up on the bonuses.

ABILITIES

TALENTS

Throughout the talent choices, you will see that this build highly values critical chance, the reason is because damage % increase generally provides small benefits at low level due to the low numbers and similarly spell power and the conversions to get spell power would be using low values which in turn grants low value spell power. If that made any sense, your better option at low levels is to increase your chance to critical hit your targets. However at higher levels, you'll see a transition from Crit focus to Spell Power.
