DESIGN
AOE DPS


This build is designed for maximum AoE DPS, great for speed clearing dungeons or situations in which you need to AoE such as ZG and some parts in MC.



INTRODUCTION
Utilizing spell haste, this hunters primary ability is Volley, an attack that hits unlimited amount of targets within the selected area. While benefiting from spell haste, this hunter is capable of damaging all targets in the area 3 times -- within a second!

This build uses Volley for both AoE and Single Target, in terms of numbers you're looking at 800 to 1,600+ DPS depending on gear and random enchants, for AoE on a relatively big pull you can get 10,000 to 50,000+ DPS.




RANDOM ENCHANTS
If you plan on using this build, keep in mind that it may cost a hefty price, on average the total cost of required Random Enchants is about 3000 gold. In addition, most of the REs are quantity of 1 so you would spend more then usual on Mystic Extracts.

[Quantity: 1] Earth and Moon - 3% Arcane and Nature Damage Increase
[Quantity: 1] Playing with Fire - 3% Spell Damage
[Quantity: 1] Arcane Instability - 3% Arcane Damage and 1% Spell Critical
[Quantity: 1] One-Handed Specialization - 2% Increase All Damage
[Quantity: 5] Barrage - 8% Volley Damage
[Quantity: 1] Lethal Shot - 2% Critical Strike Chance
[Quantity: 1] Killer Instinct - 2% Critical Strike Chance
[Quantity: 1] Mortal Shot - 4% Ranged Critical Damage
[Quantity: 1] Deadliness - 3% Attack Power
[Quantity: 1] Swift Spells- 5% Haste when you use a Spell Ability
[Quantity: 1] Swift Shots - 5% Haste when you use a Ranged Ability
[Quantity: 1] Infused Gems - 25% Spell Haste for 6 Seconds

Picking up Random Enchants that provide damage % increase for your Volley, and because Volley deals Arcane Damage and is considered a spell, spell damage % increase will also increase the damage of Volley.




LETS TALK ABOUT STATS
The stats effecting Volley is Agility, Ranged Attack Power, Range Critical, Spell Damage %, Arcane Damage %, and only some Damage Increase % so you may need to be careful from that.

The stats effecting Poisons is Agility, Strength, Melee Attack Power, Spell Critical, Nature Damage %, and only some Damage Increase %.

To maximize your damage, you would allocate all 213 stats into Agility as Agility provides 1 Ranged Attack Power per Stat. However, because Agility to RAP (Ranged Attack Power) conversion has been nerfed from 2RAP per stat to 1RAP, Agility ends up becoming the weaker stat for increasing Volley damage, but it is still a stat you cannot ignore, it's just a stat that isn't your priority.

To get the most out of stats, your priority should look like this...
Damage % > RAP > Agility (You would want to get 40% Range Critical minimum)




GEARING UP
Gear is pretty straight forward as you would want to use hunter sets. Your Best in slot ends up being Giantstalker for the 15% Increase Volley Damage. For your range weapon, you are simply looking for a weapon that provides stats, AP or Crit, personally I'd perfer stacking Crit Rating.




WEAPON
[Benediction] - Staff for 20% Spell haste, this staff also provides alot of stats used for RAP conversions. 31 INT for 31 RAP, 10 Stam for 3 RAP, 2% Crit, and because its a Two-Handed weapon you can throw on a +25 Agility enchant.

[Rhok'delar, Longbow of the Ancient Keepers] - This range weapon provides RAP and Critical Rating, both are beneficial stats used for this build. Keep in mind that the ranged weapons base damage or attack speed has no effect towards Volley.

    1. Netherwind Presence Arcane - 3 4% Haste should actually be 6% haste.

    2. You have "Create Spellstone Demo 2 Increase Haste - Weapon Enchant" listed twice.

    Since the changes that came out with war effort, i hear that PI and Arcane Power no longer stack. Can you confirm this to be true and if it is true, would you still suggest to take PI over Icy Veins? If you would suggest PI over IV, would you still macro Arcane Power and PI together?

    1. Thank you for the comments, it is true that the recent patches has made it so PI and Arcane Power no longer stack. I so then tested Icy Veins and Arcane Power together and great news is that they stack.

      Because of this, you should use Icy Veins instead of Power Infusion! Thanks for the comments once again (I'll updated the guide as soon as I can)

  4. [Shamanistic Rage]: REDUCES all damage taken by 10%, shouldn't it be in misc instead of damage (assuming that damage is to increase damage dealt or is it just damage overall (dealt and reduced))
